It must be said, this has been on steady repeat since it dropped. I think its his best work. He’s figured out his flow. He’s figured out the formula for fusing the synthy stuff and the straight Detroit boom bap. He’s also gotten better at engineering the sounds. All around super tight.
Not alot of skips on this one. Some favs:
“01 Interpret Sabotage” – right from jump you understand this is gonna be filled with surprises.
“02 Deion’s House” – psh, ugliest beat on the record.
“05 Sonny Jr Dreams” – just when you thought he went left, he calls the homies Glasper and Dwele to bring it back to Earth.
“10 Parallels” – a familiar sample he made his own.
“12 Money Bags” – second ugliest.
Having already been a Black Milk fan, I’m really impressed.
4.2 out of 5 Roland keyboards.
Finally work dies down to where I could take a listen. Conclusion: tight.
Confirmed, this is nice, 06 Sundays Best is good. 09 Dismal has that stanky beat i like so much. 10 is tight too, so is 13, damn these are some real good beats n melodies.
I might have to call up Black Milk and see if he wants to do a duet with my alter ego: Ice Cream.
Whoa. Thoroughly enjoying this. I bumped the Tronic album hard. He may have put his foot in this one. REPEAT!
